COVID-19 Cases in Pakistan reach 25,837

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: A total of 25,837 Coronavirus (COVID-19) Cases have surfaced across Pakistan, and of them, 594 have ended up in deaths, states a data issued by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) on May 8.

The data states that by now, 257,247 COVID-19 tests including 11,993 in the last 24 hours have been conducted in the Country.

With a 29.1 percent ratio, 7,530 COVID-19 patients have been recovered now while the death ratio has been recorded as 2.3 percent.

The Punjab province has surpassed 10,000 mark. So far 10,033 people have been diagnosed with the Coronavirus in the province, of them, 183 have died while 4,062 have got recovered.

In Sindh, 9,093 people have been tested positive, 171 have passed away whereas 1,853 have been recovered.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province has 3,956 COVID-19 patients. It has recorded 209 deaths and 984 recoveries so far.

Moreover, Balochistan has 1,725 Cases, 24 deaths, and 209 recoveries; Gilgit-Baltistan has 394 Cases, 3 deaths, and 292 recoveries; and Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK) has 78 Cases and 58 recoveries.

In Islamabad, 558 people have so far been diagnosed with the virus. Of them, 4 have died and 72 have got recovered.
