RAWALPINDI: The Corps Commanders’ Conference was held in Rawalpindi on Friday to focus on the country’s internal security issues as well as professional matters relating to the military, the military sources said.
The military sources said that during the meeting which was held under the chairmanship of Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif, a briefing was given on goals achieved by surgical strikes against militant hideouts in North Waziristan tribal region.
The meeting also discussed the deployment of military representatives for negotiations with the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), the sources added.
