BEIJING: Chinese major power transmission and distribution company “China Southern Power Grid” has agreed to help Pakistan overcome energy crisis.

The assurance came during Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif’s visit to the company in Guangzhou‚ where he was briefed about power transmission and distribution.

Nawaz Sharif was informed that the company is supplying electricity to over 66 million households in China.

Earlier‚ on his arrival at the Baiyun International Airport‚ the Prime Minister and his entourage were warmly welcomed by senior leaders of the ruling Communist Party of China.

He will also visit Guangdong Electric Power Design Institute and attend a briefing on power generation and transmission.

The Governor Guargdong Zhu Xiaodan will call on the Prime Minister and host a banquet in his honour.
