RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif during his visit to China held meetings with the Chinese civil and military leadership and discussed regional security and commonly confronted challenges.

Chinese leaders reaffirming their stance said “Challenges to Pakistan are challenges to China”, the Tweet on COAS meetings with Chinese leadership, by Director General ISPR Lt. General Asim Bajwa here on Tuesday stated.General Raheel Sharif and Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang

It said that COAS met Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang, Vice Chairman Central Military Commission, Chief of General Staff and Foreign Minister.

The Chinese leaders reaffirmed Pakistan-China friendship evergreen, deep rooted and strategic.

“Chinese political and military leadership reassured, China will support Pakistan in ensuring Pakistan’s sovereignty, integrity, national security and development. Both sides agreed on the imperative of peace and stability in South Asia,” the Tweet read.

It was agreed that both the friendly nations will work closely to implement China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CEPC), promote peace, and stability in region.

They appreciated Pakistan Army’s accomplishment in indiscriminate fight vs terrorism and eliminating hide outs.

China will support Pakistan in capacity building in the fight.

Chinese leaders appreciated Pakistan Army’s role in CPEC security. Faster development of CPEC will realize dream of prosperity across the region.
