RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The Chairman Military Committee (CMC) NATO General Petr Pavel, who is on official visit to Pakistan, called on the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Rashad Mahmood at Joint Staff Headquarters in Rawalpindi on Tuesday.

During the meeting, matters of mutual interest with emphasis on geo-strategic situation and security challenges came under discussion, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a press release.

The ISPR said that the visiting dignitary lauded the professionalism of Pakistan Armed Forces and acknowledged the sacrifices rendered by Pakistan in fight against terrorism.

Earlier upon arrival at Joint Staff Headquarters, the visiting general was presented guard of honour by a smartly turned out contingent of tri-services.
