British government plans discretionary powers to exclude British nationals from the UK
Monitoring Desk: London, UK: The British government plans discretionary powers to exclude British nationals from the UK
In his statement to the House of Commons, the British Prime Minister David Cameron indicated that the Government would “work up plans” for discretionary powers to exclude British nationals from the UK, telling MPs it was “abhorrent” that British citizens who pledge allegiance elsewhere were able to return to the UK and pose a threat to national security.
He also announced plans to give police temporary powers to seize passports at UK borders of Britons they suspect are travelling abroad to fight with terror groups.
“New powers will be introduced to bolster terrorism prevention and investigation measures (Tpims), including “stronger locational constraints”, he said.
He repeated his stance that he expressed in one of his published article in Mail on Sunday that
“Adhering to British values is not an option or a choice. It is a duty for all those who live in these islands so we will stand up for our values, we will in the end defeat this extremism and we will secure our way of life for generations to come.”
In this article published on June 14 Cameron further said that:
“Freedoms did not ‘come from thin air’ – and will not be surrendered”,
.
His address to House of Commons is loud and clear that British government will not allow extremism to flourish in UK but time will testify how and when United Kingdom (UK) will stand against growing Wahhabism in its society. There is so huge investment of gulf, Saudi Arabia and purist Islamists in UK who are running educational institutions freely and spreading hate speech but no action was done against such elements till the Operation Trojan Horse came on surface.
There is no secret left that thousands of Britishers are becoming Brats and regularly going to Middle East, Afghanistan and even to tribal areas of Pakistan for participating in Jihad. The support of United Kingdom to destabilise Syrian government encourages such young British Muslims who have honour to serve in Jihad that is supported by their government.
