ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: President Mamnoon Hussain on Wednesday said the government was committed to bring Balochistan at par with other developed areas and was carrying out projects to improve the living standard of the people of province.

Talking Speaker Balochistan Assembly Rahila Hameed Khan Durrani here at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, the President stated that revival of business and trade activities in Balochistan would generate employment opportunities and put the province on the path to progress.

Expressing satisfaction over improved law and order situation in the province, the President said new avenues of progress would open up after the operationalization of Gwadar port and completion of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

The President appreciated the role of Rahila Hameed Khan Durrani as Speaker Balochistan Assembly in strengthening democratic dispensation in the province.
