Assets of parliamentarians: Nawaz has assets worth Rs1.824 billion, Imran worth Rs59.35 million

ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Wednesday released details of assets declared by parliamentarians on its website, with Prime Minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Nawaz Sharif being the richest party leader having declared total assets (movable and immovable) worth Rs1.824 billion.

The details provided by the lawmakers for fiscal year 2012-13 showed that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan possesses a total of assets (plot, agricultural land, vehicles, bank accounts) worth Rs59.35 million. His personnel bank accounts stood at Rs12.82 million.

The assets declared by Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Amin Fahim including 306 acres of agricultural land held by his wife and children in Hala, five bungalows in Defence Karachi worth Rs63 million, a farmhouse in Rawal Town Rawalpindi worth Rs13.6 million, jewellery Rs4.8 million and furniture worth Rs3.8 million.

The total assets declared by Jamiat Uleme-e-Islam –Fazl (JUI-F) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman worth Rs7.33 million.

The Chairman of Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party Mehmood Khan Achakzai declared the total assets worth only Rs.0.5 million.

Likewise, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Dr Farooq Sattar possesses total assets worth Rs3.64 million.
