Army Chief vows to make Pakistan terror free

RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif has said that it is our national commitment to make the country terror free.

In his address while presiding over Corps Commanders conference at General Headquarters in Rawalpindi on Tuesday, the army chief vowed to protect dignity and respect of the country at all costs.

The COAS asked law enforcement agencies to speed up intelligence based operation against terrorists and their facilitators.

The army chief said that the military operation Zarb e Azb is in progress with full support of the nation and terrorists were damaged heavily. He said that the objective of the operation is to restore peace in the country. He said that thousands of people including children were martyred in terrorism.

General Raheel Sharif said that the Pakistan Army and law enforcement agencies laid great sacrifices for peace. He said that our sacrifices will not go in vain and we will take this war to the logical end. He said that indiscriminate and above the politics operation will be continued against terrorists and criminals.

The conference reviewed in detail professional matters and progress on the   ongoing Zarb-e-Azb operation.

It also reviewed Internal and external security situation of the country and took notice of the Research and Analysis Wing’s (RAW) involvement in terrorist activities in Pakistan.
