Army chief briefs PM about security situation in country

ISLAMABAD: A meeting was held between Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif in Islamabad on Thursday, during which the army chief briefed the prime minister about the security situation across the country.

The COAS also shared the details of today’s terror attacks in Miranshah, Waziristan where nine valiant soldiers embraced martyrdom.

The prime minister expressed his grief over the loss of precious lives of Pakistan army soldiers and said that the sacrifices by our patriotic soldiers will not go in vain.

Sharif also congratulated the army chief and the nation on the successful training launch of short range surface-to-surface Hatf-III Ghaznavi ballistic missile.
