APS attack anniversary and a nameless school

I found a letter from an old friend living abroad. She shared her feelings and questions about the great tragedy of Army Public School (APS) Peshawar massacre. I am sharing her letter with readers. Since English is her second language, therefore you may feel difficult to understand her deep sorrows and her feeling she have for Pakistan and its people. (Editor Note)

Here is the letter:

Dear Friend

I am again so sorry what happened in your country last year. Sometimes, I could not sleep for weeks to think about mothers of those children who lost their lives in an act of sheer insanity. Remember I always told you in past that extremism was at constant rise in your country but you was in the state of denial and always said that your armed forces would successfully eliminate terrorists. Anyhow I always wish a peaceful future for you, your family and for your countrymen. Your country is so beautiful that I loved to travel there in late 80s. It is unfortunate that such beautiful country and such hospitable people had such horrible situation to face.

I watch social media to find more and more information about tragic incident of Army Public School in your country that took place on December 16, 2014 when terrorists killed over 130 school children (official figure).

I asked my friends in Pakistan to provide me a list of those who lost their lives but I did not find such list anywhere in your official websites, social media and my Pakistani friends do not respond me such list. Where can I find this list? Please advice me.

I asked a friend to make photos of this school (outside wall, name board of school etc) so I can include in my blog. My friends from Islamabad and Peshawar claim that there is no board with school name is erected anywhere in the area and even not on main building. Is it true?

I checked some facebook pages of dead students that I found in one of the article but all such facebooks are “Not available”. Strongly even a number of photos are removed from pages if someone try to find photo through search like “photos of victims of APS attack”. What is wrong?

I was also told one friend that please provide me photos from inside of school rooms (walls with bullets etc) but she claimed that entire school is renovated and one can not find a single spot where memories of massacre could be seen or felt by touching.

I have many questions in my mind to ask but there is no need because I never got answers from friends related this gory incident.

Dear Friend

Please try to provide me list of names of victims and some of their photos before December 16 so I can include in my blog writing.

(Name with held)
