“The last few days have shown that suicide bomber training camps and bomb-producing factories which are killing our people are as active as before in Pakistan,” Ashraf Ghani was quoted as saying in a news conference in Kabul on Monday by AFP.

“We hoped for peace but we are receiving messages of war from Pakistan,” the Afghan president said.

Earlier on Sunday evening, the Afghan president held a telephonic conversation with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and discussed matters of mutual interest including regional situation as well as the reconciliation process between the Afghan government and the Taliban.

The prime minister also expressed grief over recent blasts in Afghanistan and conveyed his condolences over loss of lives.

“In my telephone call with Pakistan prime minister (on Sunday), I told Pakistan to see terrorism in Afghanistan the same way it sees terrorism in Pakistan,” Ashraf Ghani told reporters.

“I ask the Pakistani government if the mass killings of Shah Shaheed had happened in Islamabad and the perpetrators were in Afghanistan, what would you do?” he added.

Meanwhile, five more persons including a woman and a child were killed and 17 others wounded in a car bomb explosion near the entrance to the international airport in the Afghan Capital Kabul on Monday.

Earlier on Friday, more than 50 persons including security personnel were killed while several others sustained injuries in three separate terrorist attacks in Kabul.
