52 more people die of Coronavirus in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Further 52 patients passed away of Coronavirus and 1,272 new infections emerged across Pakistan in the last 24 hours, according to the National Command & Operation Centre (NCOC).

The NCOC data showed that on February 17, 24 patients died in Punjab, 19 in Sindh, 8 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and 1 in Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT).

To date, 12,488 patients suffering from COVID-19 have lost their lives in the Country.

Most of the deaths – 5,138 – have been recorded in Punjab, 4,263 in Sindh, 2,015 in KPK, 487 in ICT, 284 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), and 199 in Balochistan while 102 COVID patients have so far died in Gilgit-Baltistan.

The data further showed that 36,543 COVID tests were conducted throughout the Country on February 17 which found 1,272 people positive.

So far, a total of 567,261 Coronavirus Cases have been detected in the Country including 254,678 in Sindh, 165,716 in Punjab, 70,306 in KPK, 43,029 in ICT, 18,958 in Balochistan, 9,629 in AJK, and 4,945 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

As of February 18, 530,597 people have recovered from the disease while 24,176 patients are still battling with it.
