42 more people die of COVID-19 in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The COVID-19 took 42 more lives across Pakistan whereas 5,830 new cases surfaced with a ratio of 9.75% on February 2, 2022.

In the last 24 hours, 16 people died of COVID-19 in Punjab, 14 in Khyber Pakhtukhwa, 9 in Sindh, 2 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), and 1 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

To date, a total of 1,442,263 Coronavirus Cases have been detected in the Country.

Out of them, 546,141 have been recorded in Sindh, 483,779 in Punjab, 197,937 in KPK, 129,758 in Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT), 39,323 in AJK, 34,557 in Balochistan, and 10,768 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Similarly, 29,372 people have so far succumbed to the virus across the Country including 13,201 in Punjab, 7,849 in Sindh, 6,023 in KPK, 982 in ICT, 760 in AJK, 368 in Balochistan, and 189 in Gilgit-Baltistan

As of now, 1,312,819 infected people have recovered from the disease in the Country whereas 100,072 remain to be under treatment including 1,739 who are admitted in 640 hospitals with COVID facilities across the Country.
