36 more COVID patients die in Pakistan, death toll reaches 12,896

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Further 36 COVID patients lost their lives across Pakistan in the last 24 hours, raising the death toll to 12,896.

Out of 36 fatalities, 13 were recorded in Punjab, 7 each in Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 5 in Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT), and 4 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).

So far with 5,363 deaths, Punjab remains the most affected province followed by Sindh which has registered 4,350 deaths.

Likewise, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has recorded so far 2,079 deaths, ICT 501, AJK 301, Balochistan 200, and Gilgit-Baltistan 102.

In addition to that, with 1,392 more infections reported in the last 24 hours, now the total number of Coronavirus Cases having been detected in the Country has reached 581,365.

Out of them, 258,266 Coronavirus Cases have been detected in Sindh, 172,054 in Punjab, 72,424 in KPK, 44,373 in Islamabad, 19,049 in Balochistan, 10,243 in Azad Kashmir, and 4,956 in the Gilgit-Baltistan region.

As of March 1, 22,098 COVID patients are undergoing treatment in Pakistan while a significant number of 546,371 people have now recovered from the disease.
