25 mortars fired into Pakistani territory by Afghan border police

ISLAMABAD: The Afghan Border Police fired 25 mortars into Pakistani territory on Saturday, but the firing did not cause any casualty or damage, military sources said.

“Today morning between 0930-1125 hours, Afghan Border Police from Tarkhobi camp fired 25 mortars into Pakistan,” military sources said.

Tarkhobi camp is located in Afghanistan’s eastern Khost province, which borders Pakistan’s North Waziristan.

The military sources said that a formal protest has been lodged with the Afghan authorities on the firing.
