Two Pakistan army soldiers embraced martyrdom in an exchange of fire with terrorists in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Kurram district.
In a statement on Tuesday, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that the security forces conducted an Area Sanitization Operation in Zewa area of Kurram district on the reported presence of terrorists.
During the operation, three terrorists were killed; however, in the intense exchange of fire with terrorists, 25-year-old Captain Basit and 22-year-old Sepoy Hazrat Bilal embraced martyrdom.
The ISPR said that Captain Basit was a resident of Haripur while Sepoy Hazrat Bilal hailed from Orakzai.
The ISPR said that the cordon and search operation was in progress to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area.
