CAIRO, Egypt: An Egyptian plane crashed in the Mediterranean Sea which expectedly caused deaths of 66 people including 56 passengers and 10 crew members.
The Egyptian Aviation Officials said that the Airbus A320 was on its way from Paris to Cairo when it lost contact with radar above the Mediterranean Sea, 10 miles into the Egyptian airspace.
The Officials said that apart from 10 crew members, the plane was carrying 56 passengers including 30 Egyptians, 15 French, two Iraqis and one person each from the United Kingdom, Canada, Kuwait, Belgium, Sudan, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Chad and Portugal.
“An informed source at EGYPTAIR stated that Flight No. MS804, which departed Paris at 23:09 (CEST), heading to Cairo has disappeared from radar,” the airline said on its Twitter.
Meanwhile, a search for plane debris is underway while according to officials, the reason behind disappearance of EgyptAir flight MS804 is still unknown.

EGYPTAIR confirms that there are 56 passengers in addition to 10 cabin crew members onboard the aircraft.
