ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: An explosion took place in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Mardan City on Tuesday which left 11 people including two police officers injured.

Sources said that the blast occurred near Toro Chowk in Mardan. They said that the bomb which was placed in a shop suddenly exploded and injured 11 people including two policemen.

The rescue teams arrived at the scene and sifted the victims to District Headquarters Hospital for medical assistance where doctors said that three of the affectees were in critical condition.

Police and bomb disposal experts told that 600 kg explosive material was used in the bomb.
