ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Ambassador of Belarus to Pakistan Andrei Ermolovich here on Tuesday called on Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Sheikh Aftab Ahmed and discussed matters of mutual interest and bilateral relations between two countries.

Welcoming the Ambassador, the Minister of state said Pakistan gave importance to its friendly relations with Belarus and hoped it would continue to flourish the benefit of the two countries, said a press release.

He said that frequent exchange of Pakistan delegation would bring two countries closer, adding the people of the both countries would be provided an opportunity to learn from each other’s experiences, in the parliamentary system.

Minster of state further said there existed vast scope of opportunities to enhance cooperation in the filed of agriculture, socio-economic sectors for the mutual advantages of the both countries.

He said Pakistan people liked Belarus tractors and showed unprecedented interest in the imports of the Belarus tractors to Pakistan during recent years.

The ambassador expressed his gratitude and said bilateral cooperation between the two friendly countries would be expanded with the passage of time for the mutual benefits of the both countries.

He briefed the minister about socio-economic projects being undertaken by his government.
