Fazl seeks permission from PM Nawaz to form govt in KPK

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) Maulana Fazlur Rehman has sought permission from Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to form a government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the media reports said.

   

The development came in a meeting between the two leaders in Islamabad on Tuesday, during which they discussed overall political situation in the country.

The media reports said that the JUI-leader told the prime minister that he has numbers to form his government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province; however, the prime minister asked him not to touch this issue at least for now.

The Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sardar Mehtab Ahmad Khan, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique, Minister for Housing and Works Akram Khan Durrani, and Senator Maulana Gul Naseeb were also present in the meeting.
