RAWALPINDI: No family member of terrorists is in the custody of Pakistan Army. Inter Service Public Relations (ISPR) of Pakistan Army has categorically rejected claims of Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) that Pakistan Army has arrested women and children of families of terrorists.

ISPR statement follows hereunder:

The Director General (DG) ISPR Major General Asim Saleem Bajwa has Categorically rejected TTP’s allegations about their women & children in custody of security forces. Commenting on the factual position of the issue, the spokesman clarified that not a single women or child is in custody of security forces. In fact women and children have never been detained. This baseless accusation by TTP is a mere a propaganda to divert the attention from real issue of their blatant and dastardly acts of terror across the country.

In a statement issued on Saturday February 22, 2014, the DG ISPR said that no woman or child is in its custody and TTP is blaming Pakistan Army without any reason.

It may be mentioned that TTP peace talk committee member Prof Ibrahim of Jamaat-i-Islami and Amir of Jamaat are accusing Pakistan Army to arrest women and children of TTP leaders while Pakistan Army has categorically denied this blame.
