Monitoring Desk: The wife of President Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky, Elena Zelenskaya is COVID-19 and she has quarantined herself.
However, the test of President Vladimir Zelensky is negative.
According to a message of the Presidential Office of Ukraine and reported by the Ukrainian News Agency, Elena Zelenskaya fell ill with the coronavirus and is undergoing treatment, isolated from other family members, while President Zelensky passed the coronavirus test and received a negative result.
“The wife of the President of Ukraine, Elena Zelenskaya, received a positive test result for COVID-19,” it said.
However, she feels well and does not have any symptoms of the disease.
“Now Elena Zelenskaya is on outpatient treatment, isolated from other family members,” the report said.
The circumstances of her infection are not yet known.
“During working meetings and at home, the first lady constantly adhered to the quarantine rules and recommendations of the Ministry of Health, and, in accordance with the requirements of the security protocol, regularly tested for COVID-19. The results of the preliminary test done in early June were negative. Where and when it was precisely the infection that could have occurred – it is still unknown, ”it was informed.
An epidemiological investigation is underway.
Elena Zelenskaya also confirmed her illness and wrote that neither the children nor Vladimir Zelensky found a coronavirus.
