Monitoring Desk: “Security in Caucasus region is fragmented due to constant aggression of Armenia against Azerbaijan”.
This was indicated by the Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of Foreign Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan, Hikmet Hajiyev in an exclusive talk in in “Global Discussion on CBC TV Channel” hosted by political analyst and expert of Eurasian regions, Anastasia Lavrina.

The Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of Foreign Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan, Hikmet Hajiyev was of the view that the killings of innocent citizens in Khojaly – the city of Azerbaijan, is all the result of Armenian aggression and part of its occupation policy of Azerbaijani territories.”
Hikmet Hajiyev further said that denying the realities of the Khojaly genocide and even accusing Azerbaijan for committing this crime is the peak of cynicism of the Armenian prime minister.
He said that security in Caucasus region is fragmented and undermine due to constant aggression of Armenia against Azerbaijan


The Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan also spoke about the most priority areas for the development of Azerbaijan’s foreign policy, the importance of regional partnerships and the strengthening of cooperation with Turkey in the trade, economic and defense sectors.
He added that victims of Khojaly genocide await justice from international organisations because those who conducted war crimes and genocide in Khojaly are still to be punished by international war crime forums. He maintained that relations of Azerbaijan and Turkey are special and Turkey and both countries always stand with each other and cooperate in all spheres from economy to security.
