Saba Qamar and Bilal Saeed are facing backlash following the recent shoot for the song “Qubool” which has gone viral under rage. The song shoot in mosque has been graded as inappropriate following the respect of the mosque premises.
‘Qubool’ song shoot in Mosque
According to the details, recently Saba Qamar posted pictures captured inside a mosque followed by the caption ‘Qubool Hai’ as a teaser. Most of the fans were surprised to see that Saba Qamar might be getting married to Bilal Saeed. However, it was revealed later that those pictures had nothing to do with reality. It was basically all about Bilal Saeed’s new upcoming song.
As soon as the teasers got surfaced from song video shoot, it provoked the ire of fans. The reason behind this anger was the disrespect of the mosque as per their perspective following song shoot in holy premises.
With every passing hour, this fury is getting hype as everyone wants a strict action to be taken against this act.
What was the reaction on social media?
Well… we are aware of the fact that people always take keen interest in expressing their thoughts over certain ongoing issues over social media. This time, Saba Qamar and Bilal Saeed had to face backlash following the song shoot in mosque. The dance moves for the song shoot in the mosque basically incited people.

Saba Qamar’s reaction over backlash
Saba’s name became top hashtag trend on Twitter as the video clip from the song went viral. The actress reacted to the criticism in a series of tweets in which she explained what actually happened at the shoot.
According to Saba, only one sequence was shot at the mosque which was a prologue to the music video featuring a Nikah scene.
“It was neither shot with any sort of playback music nor has it been edited to the music track,” she tweeted.
In another tweet she said, “the BTS video that’s been circulated on social media was just a circular movement to click stills for the poster of ‘Qubool’ depicting a happily married couple right after their Nikah.”
Saba Qamar also explained things in detail on Instagram and sought an apology for hurting the sentiments of fans, intentionally or unintentionally.
Stance presented by authorities
Following the increasing rage over this matter, the authorities have been inquired with the emphasis to take action. As the historical Wazir Khan Mosque comes under the administration of Punjab Auqaf and Religious Affairs department, an official was inquired in this regard.
The official from the department presented the stance that a production house had been given permission for the shooting in the mosque by the Assistant Director Tableegh e Tarbiyyat but the higher authorities of the department were kept unaware of the shooting of the dance. However, the assistant director claimed that he had given permission for the Nikkah scene.
The official further added that when the dance shooting started, the mosque administration should have stopped it as such activities are not allowed in mosques.
He said that the shooting took place in the main chambers of Wazir Khan Mosque and complaints of dancing and singing in the mosques under Auqaf department have been received in the past as well.
Action against song shoot in mosque
The Secretary Auqaf Dr. Irshad Ahmed said that a departmental inquiry has been initiated against the incident and strict action would be taken against those responsible.
Furthermore, the Provincial Minister for Auqaf and Religious Affairs Syed Saeed Al Hassan Shah told that they had taken notice of the video.
“The department has ordered the suspension of the responsible officials. The report will be submitted in 3 days after the inquiry. Such irresponsible incidents will not be tolerated at all. The sanctity of mosques, holy places of worship will be maintained.”
