LAHORE: Singing sensation Annie Khalid, who has recently been performing at back to back events all over Pakistan, took the stage once again this past weekend at PC Bhurban. Backed by UBL Bank, the activity was hosted by Dunwill Events on 15th March, 2014. The event was a huge success where guests were seen swaying side-to-side as Annie livened up the whole room with her power-packed and energetic performance.

The Boom Boom singer is currently one of the most popular performers in Pakistan, and one can see why. At the Bhurban event, her performance went on for 45 minutes during which she performed all her popular tracks. We all know her numbers are lively and the only way to enjoy them is by grooving, which is exactly what the guests did!

Starting off her performance with the soft and mellow Kya Yehi Pyaar Hai, there was no stopping the diva then. With her feet tapping hits Vaari Vaari, Tujhe Yaad Kia, a special medley of folk songs including Yaar Di Gharoli and the ever favorite Maahiya, she ensured everyone had a great time with zabardast naach gaana! Annie also hosted a mini singing competition for the guests on stage which was enjoyed by all.

Speaking about the event, Annie said “I love performing in different cities around Pakistan as I get a chance to explore the unseen beauty of our country. Initially I was a little apprehensive about the crowd as they all seemed such senior and reserved people, but once the music started playing they all let loose! Their response was so encouraging, I had a blast performing for them. It was also an honor performing at the same event as such great legends. I would like to thank the organizers Dunwill and all the guests including the directors of UBL for having me. I hope to get a chance to perform here again.”

Clad in a statement jacket by Ali Xeeshan, completed with blue jeans and plain black heels, Annie looked every bit the star she is. The event was hosted by movie star Noor. Besides Annie, other performers included legends such as Mr Anwar Maqsood and Bahroze Bazwari.
