ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) on Wednesday organised a workshop on film making to train young film makers and producers.

A film expert from Swiss Sophie Bourdan conducted the workshop in which a number of young film makers and producers from various universities hailing from twin-cities Islamabad and Rawalpindi participated.

Besides training on the subject, the expert disclosed the way to participate in the Festival De Film Locarno which was going to be held in Switzerland in August this year.

It is worth mentioning here that throughout its 70 year history, the Festival de film Locarno has occupied a unique position in the landscape of the major festivals.

Every August, Locarno becomes the world capital of cinema. Thousands of film fans and industry professionals meet there to share their passion for cinema in all its diversity.

Created as a festival aiming to discover new talents and new trends, Locarno has established itself as an invaluable launch-pad for the new generation.
