ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Young male singers belonging to various educational institutions of twin cities participated in auditions for Talent Hunt Programme of Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) on Thursday.

They showed their skills in the field of singing while those getting winning positions will participate in the singing show as the amateur and budding singers will be provided a platform of national level to show their skills.

The young singers explored their hidden talent through singing national songs, Pakistani film and folk songs, pop and rock melodies.

The show was arranged in collaboration with Ministry of Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage for talent discovery project which was initiated for Talent Bank of PNCA in which a large number of students and youth participate on regular basis.

Experts conduct the workshops in the field of singing, dancing, compering, drama and dialogue while the PNCA gives opportunities to the participants to perform in different programmes.

“The basic idea behind this programme was to utilize the energy of youth at a level of exploration with a proper platform for supporting their inner abilities. Youngsters selected from various workshops under the talent hunt are also given chance to perform in the field of performing arts,” said Director General PNCA, Muhammad Naeem.

The programme is an attempt to explore the talent of children, students, youngsters and local artists for promoting and preserving the rich culture of the country as well as to refine the talent of students.

From singing to compering, drama acting and dancing, various workshops and training courses have been organized by the PNCA under this programme for children and youngsters to express themselves with some techniques that help build their personalities and entertain the audience.

PNCA is serving the art lovers as an academy of visual and performing arts for transferring the masterly skills of established personalities to the new generation, he said.
