From her way of speaking in English to her crispy comments, Meera has her own identity in the industry as well as in news. There is a perception that Meera has problems in accepting and revealing age and this interview has proved it right to some extent. Recently, Iffat Omar invited Meera in her online show “Say It All” in which she failed to treat her well. The matter turned out to be bitter when Iffat and Meera got into a fight during the show. When Iffat Asked Meera about Her Age!
During the show, Iffat Omar asked questions related to Meera’s Baji film and the tone was honeyed offensive. However, Meera also minced no words while encoutering Iffat’s questions.
Talking about the film “Baji”, Iffat Omar highlighted that in the Subcontinent, the heroins come under the tag of ‘no more eligible’ for acting to dressing up like girls. Meera told Iffat that Baji film is also about the shelf life of an actor. However, Iffat kept on correcting Meera that a heroin has got the shelf life, not an actor.
With this topic, the conversation took a diversion towards the topic of Meera’s age that turned into cold cross-questioning. Meera objected and raised the point that no one should ask a female or judge her on the basis of her age. If a female isn’t willing to tell her age, that shouldn’t be the standard of judgement.
Iffat Omar’s tone got a twist during this conversation and she disagreed to Meera’s point while ruining the calm format of the show. In response, Meera ensured Iffat that next time when she will be coming to her show, she will bring her birth certificate along.
She also considered to let Meera go through a sort of punishment for not revealing her exact age during the show.
How Iffat Punished Meera for Not Revealing Age?
As per the format of the show, the guests who are unable to answer any question must have to go through a punishment.
Iffat Omar punished Meera for not revealing her age publicly during the show. She had to eat a whole Laddu or a green chilli. She picked up the green chilli in a daring manner and chewed it all.
