ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Mandwa- the film club of National Institute of Folk and Traditional Heritage, Lok Virsa will screen a Sindhi film Pardesi here on November 14.

A 1958 film starring Noor Mohd Charlie, Mustafa Qureshi, Lali and Salomi, will be a tribute to the Sindhi language and Sindhi culture of classical cinema.

The film is directed by S A Ghaffar and produced by Syed Hussain Ali Shah Fazlani while the music was given by Abdul Latif.

Through the screening of such films, Mandwa will ensure to give audience the glimpses of the diversity in the cinema and include several national languages from time to time, said an official of Lok Virsa.

The film screening will serve the audience as a treat for understanding Sindhi culture and its melodies from the golden age of cinema.

The event will provide entertainment opportunity to the fun lovers of twin cities to spend their weekend in an ambiance of old culture of classical cinema that was faded away.

The Mandwa club was screening movies on diverse subjects including foreign, local and award winning films on every weekend to provide healthy entertainment to the audience of twin cities.
