14 years ago, Pixar animated studios produced the ‘Incredibles’ released by Walt Disney pictures. It was written and directed by Brad Bird. It was among the highest grossing movies of 2004 and won an Oscar in 2005.

The first ‘Incredibles’ movie followed the family of superheroes who tried to live a normal human life despite of their super power abilities. However Mr. incredible couldn’t resist to use his super abilities which led his family to face difficulties and danger.

The second installment of the animated series ‘Incredibles’ 2 was released on June 5, 2018 in Los Angeles and then across the United States on June 15, 2018. The sequel continued right after the first film ended.

The movie gained positive reviews, and as was expected, it collected $182.7 million in its opening weekend. On July 1, 2018, the box office collection was $648 million globally. On July 29, the world wide box office collection was recorded as $999.3 million. It made up to $58 million on box office in its second week from almost 28 countries. The movie has become fourth-highest grossing film of 2018 by joining the billion dollar club on July 30, 2018. It has become the 7th highest-grossing film in animated category and rank on 36th in highest-grossing movies of all time.

Apart from it, Brad Bird has stated that there are possibilities of third installment of Incredibles but has not confirmed yet. Well, it’s nothing new and strange about Pixar’s and their years of gap between sequels. ‘Incredible 2’ has been released after 14 years of first installment. Finding Nemo and Finding Dory were also released with more than 10 years gap. The same was happened with toy story and monster Inc. who knows what’s next.
