MUMBAI, India: As the Pakistani actor Fawad Khan is set to appear in new Bollywood movie ‘Kapoor and Sons’, he has requested the movie director Shakun Batra to remove the intimate scenes between him and Alia Bhatt.
The 33-year-old actor made his Bollywood debut in a Shashanka Ghosh-directed romantic comedy film ‘Khoobsurat’ for which he received Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut.
The upcoming movie ‘Kapoor and Sons’ is produced by Karan Johar and is also featuring Sidharth Malhotra and veteran actor Rishi Kapoor. It is said to be ‘a modern family film with love triangle embedded in it.’
“Fawad is not comfortable with the idea of getting physical in reel life. Even in his TV shows, Humsafar and Zindagi Gulzar Hai, which are romantic family dramas, there’s no kissing or touching involved,” a source close to the production revealed as reported by media.
“Fawad is extremely sensitive to the sensibilities of his conservative countrymen,” the source added. “He has told Shakun and Karan to water down the scene.”
Fawad Khan has also signed another Bollywood film ‘Mr. Chaloo’ in which he will romance Priyanka Chopra.
