Coke studio season 11 has finally released its first track “Runaway” of episode 2 on Friday (August 17, 2018). “Runaway” is recorded in the voice of American-Pakistani sisters Jahan Yousaf and Yasmine Yousaf. Produced and directed by Zohaib Kazi and Ali Hamza, this season has already created buzz on social media with its 5-episode series “Coke Studio explorer” and its grand opening with “Shikwa/Jawab-e-Shikwa”.
The episode 2 has returned with another super hit track by American electronic dance music (EDM) band “Krewella” along with Riaz Qadri and Ghulam Qadri.

“Krewella” band was formed in 2007 and comprising of two sisters Jahan Yousaf and Yasmine Yousaf. The music adopted by the band is the mixer of self-produced dubstep, electro house and other EDM genres. It is one of the most popular bands of U.S. and has performed in many EDM events as well as Tomorrowland. There album “Get Wet” was also featured in the top 10 of U.S. charts.

While in the interview with Waqar Zaka, Yasmin Yousaf said, “People are always shocked when we tell them we are from Pakistan. But it’s cool. I think it brings something new that people might not have expected. And I love representing where we are from. We are always representing, first and foremost our city of Chicago, but after that, we’re definitely prideful of where our parents came from.”

On the other hand, Riaz Qadri’s and Ghulam Ali Qadri’s folk and traditional voice has entirely different flavor of music. The combination of electronic music and raw folk has generated a strong melody.

This year the hottest platform of the Pakistan has represented a different side of the show, Thanks to Ali Hamza and Zohaib Kazi. Both producers have collaborated with various music artists from all over the Pakistan as well as international music industry.
