Electricity load shedding to reduce further in next 24 hours

ISLAMABAD: The electricity load shedding across the country will reduce further in the next 24 hours, according to a report about electricity load shedding presented to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

The report presented by the ministry of water and power says that currently eight-hour load shedding is being carried out in urban and ten hour in rural areas.

It says that electricity generation has increased to 12,300 megawatt while another 1,000 megawatt will be added to the national grid in the next 24 hours.

In Islamabad, the duration of load shedding is four hours while in Lahore it is six hours.
