As the 2018 general elections are approaching fast to decide the Country’s future political scenario, all political parties are deliberating upon various options to field their best Candidates to make their respective winning prospects on July 25 brighter.

Both the main opposition parties in recently dissolved Lower House of the Parliament – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) – have completed the negotiating process regarding the regarding the award of party tickets.

The PTI Parliamentary Board led by the Chairman Imran Khan held deliberation for seven days in this regard, and list of PTI’s nominated Candidates for 2018 general elections will be released soon.

The PPP Secretary General Nayyar Hussain Bukhari also said while talking to media at Zilla Kacheri in Islamabad on Thursday that PPP’s Candidates for forthcoming polls have been finalized and their names would be announced within 48 hours.

Though all political parties have yet to make official announcement of their respective Candidates but, according to sources, the Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will contest the general elections from three National Assembly Constituencies.

Sources said that Bilawal Bhutto will contest the elections from NA-246 Karachi South-I, NA-200 Larkana-I and NA-8 Malakand Protected Area while his sister Asifa Bhutto Zardari will contest the election from NA-202 Kamber Shahdadkot-I.

Sources also said that the Chairman PTI Imran Khan has decided to contest elections from five constituencies.

Imran Khan will contest elections from NA-26 Nowshera-II, NA-61 Rawalpindi-V, NA-95 Mianwali-I, NA-131 Lahore-XI and NA-243 Karachi East-II, sources said adding that the decision was taken after consultation with PTI leaders.

Likewise, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shahbaz Sharif, according to sources, has decided to contest the 2018 general elections from NA-3 Swat-II as well and the former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s daughter Maryam Nawaz will contest the elections from NA-125 Lahore-III. However, final decision will be taken after consultation.

Meanwhile, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has extended the date for submission of nomination forms for 2018 general elections.

The final date for submission of nomination papers extended from June 08 to June 11. Candidates for reserved seats may also submit their forms by June 11.
