ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Friday issued the Schedule of by-elections in more than 30 National and Provincial Assemblies’ Constituencies to be held on October 14, 2018.

As per the Schedule, nomination papers will be received from August 28 to 30.

The Returning Officers (ROs) will conduct scrutiny of nomination papers by September 4. Appeals against decisions of ROs can be filed till September 8 while the ECP will a lot election symbols on September 16.

Earlier in the day, sources said that the ECP Secretariat had prepared the summary of by-elections schedule, and sent it to the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Justice (retd) Sardar Muhammad Raza for approval.

It is pertinent to mention here that by-elections will take place in 11 National Assembly Constituencies and over 19 Provincial Assemblies’ Constituencies.

By elections in National Assembly Constituencies are to be held in NA-35, NA-53, NA-60, NA-63, NA-65, NA-69, NA-103, NA-124, NA-131, and NA-243.
