KARACHI: The Election tribunal in Karachi on Tuesday directed the authorities to verify thumb impressions in the provincial assembly constituency PS-128 Malir with the help of NADRA record.

The tribunal issued the order over reports of alleged rigging in the constituency which comprises Malir, Landhi, Korangi Industrial Area and Noor Manzil areas.

After re-polling at six polling stations of PS-128 Malir, Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) Waqar Hussain was declared victorious beating his main contender, Muttahida Deeni Mahaz’s (MDM) Maulana Aurangzeb Farooqui in June 2013.
