ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has announced the scheme for by-elections scheduled to be held on August 22.

According to the ECP, there will be 7, 600 polling stations for by-elections on 42 constituencies.

Out of total polling stations, 1,987 polling stations have been declared sensitive and 1,657 most sensitive. Whereas, three constituencies of Karachi have been declared sensitive.

Meanwhile‚ all the contesting candidates from Islamabad’s NA-48 by-elections have been summoned by the ECP on Tuesday (tomorrow) in an application filed by Anjum Aqeel about cancellation of withdrawal of his nomination paper. There are 14 candidates in the field for the seat.
