ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The AJK Education Minister Dewan Ali Khan Chughtai met the Federal Minister for Education, Professional Training, National Heritage and Culture Shafqat Mahmood to discuss education related matters in Islamabad on Tuesday.
On request of the AJK education minister for enhancing quota of the Kamyab Jawan Program for Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), Shafqat Mahmood directed the Chairman NAVTTC Syed Javed Hasan to enhance their quota from two to five percent.
The federal minister also directed the Chairman NAVTTC to set up smart labs in AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Assuring the maximum cooperation to AJK education minister, Shafqat Mahmood has remarked that incumbent government enhancing the employment opportunities with the Kamyab Jawan Program as graduates having skills are succeeded to secure jobs easily as compare to graduates without skills.
Briefing the federal minister Shafqat Mahmood on Skills for All program’s implementation, the Chairman NAVTTC apprised that for 50,000 positions of third batch, 400,000 candidates have applied and amongst them 140,000 candidates were graduates. NAVTTC is also conducting classes of hi-tech digital training in 45 AJK Institutions.
Furthermore, the Matric-Tech Program has also been started in three institutions in which 1,500 students have been enrolled.
