ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: A total of 111 scholarships for D-Pharmacy have been awarded by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) during the year 2013 to 2015.

The scholarships included 52 indigenous and 59 overseas including students of COMSATS Institute of information Technology (CIIT).

HEC foreign scholarships/programmes provide equal opportunity to the faculty and students from all across the Pakistan, official sources told the state-run news agency in Islamabad.

Students of CIIT, can apply and compete for following foreign scholarships, whether in D-Pharmacy or any other discipline, on open merit including Faculty Development Program for Pakistani Universities, Human Resource Development Initiative – MS and MS Leading to PhD programme of Faculty Development for UESTPs, Overseas Scholarship Scheme MS/MPhil leading to PhD in Selected Fields (Phase-II).

Furthermore, scholarships are also available for Master Leading to PhD Scholarships Programme (Overseas and Indigenous) for the Students of Balochistan, “An Initiative of the Aghaz-e-Haqooq-e-Balochistan Package”, Higher Education Scientific Exchange Programme under Hungarian Scholarship, International Research Support Initiative Programme (IRSIP), six months training course.
