ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Minister of State for Federal Education Engineer Muhammad Baligh Ur Rehman Wednesday said that the government was making efforts to make “Quranic Education” compulsory in all public schools throughout the country.

Speaking at the 4th Annual Day organized by Al Huda International School at Pak China Friendship Center, he said that this process would be initiated after consulting all the provinces through the platform of Inter Provincial Education Minister’s Conference (IPEMC).

Minister of state said that “Nazra Quran” will be taught from class 1 to 5th and proper “Quranic Education” with translation will be taught to the students of class 6th to 10th in all public schools.

These children, he said, are our national asset so “We should invest best of our resources to make them better educated human beings”.

He said that education and research both are necessary in our religion adding that “We should not just rely on the syllabus but also encourage our children to research and explore different subjects, fields and ideas”.

The education scenario, he said, is improving in Pakistan and added “We all need to work together to make it even better”.

He admired the role played by the private schools in educating the young guns of Pakistan.
