ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Authority (PEIRA) has decided to chalk out a strategy for the implementation of reading and translation of the Holy Quran in 1,200 private sector schools of Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT).
In an exclusive talk with the state-run news agency in Islamabad on Tuesday, the Chairman PEIRA Hasnat Ahmad Qureshi said that in this regard, PEIRA is all set to hold a meeting in the current week with the heads of private sector educational institutions.
The Chairman PEIRA said that a bill has been passed by the National Assembly recently and now it would be implemented in all private sector schools after consultation with their heads.
“I have already wrote a letter to the federal public educational institutions as Director General of Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) for the implementation of the reading and translation of Quran” he added.
Hasnat Ahmad Qureshi said that PEIRA would implement it after discussion.
