ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Punjab Education Ministry has decided to uphold the ban on transfer of teachers across the province till April 1, 2018.

The ban continues to be enforced in Punjab since one and half year; however, in case of mutual exchange of transfer, posting of wife in her husband’s city following marriage, and becoming disabled or widow, female teachers can carry out their transfers.

No ban will be enforced on teachers with above conditions, according to Daily Express.

While new transfer policy has also been devised under which in the future, only two teachers could be transferred who have had performed their duties on one seat for three years.

Meanwhile, the results of matric supplementary exams 2017 conducted under the federal board have been announced, according to which, the pass percentage remained 44.95.

The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) had conducted the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Supplementary Exams in September-October 2017 in which 10096 candidates had appeared; however out of which, only 4538 candidates were declared pass.

While cases were registered against 18 candidates for indulging in illegal activities.

The FBISE has issued the results on its website www.fbise.edu.pk whereas results can also be obtained by sending SMS to 5050.

Separately, the FBISE has set November 20 as deadline for submitting the admission fees by those who are willing to appear in SSC annual exams 2018.
