ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday will award Ehsaas Undergraduate Scholarships to the first batch of 50,000 deserving students under the Country’s biggest ever Scholarship Scheme launched under the Ehsaas Program.

The Ehsaas Undergraduate Scholarship Program worth Rs 24,000 billion was launched by Prime Minister Imran Khan on November 4, 2019 which would enable 200,000 high achievers from low-income families from across Pakistan to receive Scholarships in the next four years.

Among beneficiaries of the Ehsaas Undergraduate Scholarship Program, half are the girls hailing from low-income groups while two percent of Scholarships have been allocated for students with special needs.

The merit and need-based Scholarships will cover tuition fee and Rs 4,000 as a monthly living stipend to ensure that no eligible student is deprived of Higher Education because of the financial need.

In a bid to facilitate the students to apply for Undergraduate Scholarships in 119 Public Sector Universities, an HEC Online Portal was launched on December 24, 2019.

For the education year 2019-20, a total of 132,192 students including 49,841 girls from across the Country including Gilgit Baltistan and Azad Kashmir have so far submitted applications for Scholarships. The process of application submission still continues and will end on March 31. Afterward, all Undergraduate Scholarships designated for 2019-20 will be awarded to 50,000 deserving students (50% quota for girls & 2% for disabled) from April to June.

For the next phase (2020-21), the HEC Online Portal will again be opened on June 15, 2020 for students to submit their applications.

Ehsaas Undergraduate Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
