ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The educational process in Pakistan has resumed after the re-opening of educational institutions on Tuesday, ending a six-month-long closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In the wake of the announcement of the Education Ministry, all higher education institutions, imparting education to the students from Class 9 to 12 and above started conducting classes today.Educational institutions in Pakistan - The educational process in Pakistan has resumed after the re-opening of educational institutions on Tuesday, ending a six-month-long closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The educational institutions are following already issued health guidelines and protocols. The special monitoring mechanism has been devised to ensure the implementation of protocols agreed with all stakeholders The provincial and district administrations monitoring teams across Pakistan will ensure implementation of health standard operating procedures (SOPs). In case of violation of any protocols, provincial and district administrations are empowered to close / fine subject institution. The wearing of face mask even of normal cloth and social distancing, staggering time is the most important step to ensure students' health and safety. Meanwhile, according to the National Command & Operation Centre (NCOC), 404 people tested positive for Coronavirus across the Country on September 14 while six people lost their lives to it. The data issued by the NCOC on Tuesday says that a total of 302,424 Coronavirus Cases have so far been detected in the Country and 6,389 COVID-19 patients have succumbed to the disease. However, 290,261 people have now recovered and the total number of Active COVID-19 Cases in Pakistan is 5,774 as of September 15.

The educational institutions are following already issued health guidelines and protocols.
