ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) has constituted five inspection committees in order to check the engineering departments of around 110 premier universities across the Country.

Official sources told the state-run news agency on Thursday, the five inspection teams consisting of twenty experts after inspection of engineering departments of higher educational institutions across the Country, would submit report to Pakistan Engineering Council within two months.

After submission of report, the central inspection committee of PEC as per its rules would take decision for granting of Non Objection Certificates (NOC) to universities for admission in the engineering department, he added.

According to the details, the provincial inspection committees of Pakistan Engineering Council every year visit engineering departments of universities and on the basis of inspection committee reports, PEC grant permission for admission in engineering departments of higher educational institutions.

During the current year, the engineering department of around 110 universities would be inspected, he informed.
