ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The federal government has already increased Ph.D allowance to Rs 10000 from Rs 7500 per month to encourage scientist, researchers and technologists.

Talking to APP on Wednesday, an official of ministry of Science and Technology said that a total number of 60,699 researchers were working in the country with only 10,670 Ph.Ds which was not encouraging figure so government had increased Ph.D allowance and announce further incentives for the scientists, researchers and technologists.

He said present government had given high priority to science and technology so President’s Medal for Technology, Research productivity and civil awards would be given to the researchers, scientists and technologists.
