ISLAMABAD: Amid the alarming upsurge in the Coronavirus Cases across the Country, the Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Authority (PEIRA) has given a great relaxation to the Private Educational Institutions (PEls) to call each class once a week to submit and collect homework.
All private educational Institutions are switched to online learning and home based learning up to December 24, 2020; however in case the PEls do not have the facility of alternate mode i.e. online/Home based learning, they may call each class once a week to submit and collect homework.
However, all Private Educational Institutions were strictly directed to observe the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and health guidelines including social distancing and wearing masks, which are mandatory.
The notification, a copy of which is available with DND, reads, “In continuation of this Authority’s Notification of even number dated: 26-11.2020 closure and guidelines all private educational institutions during 2nd wave of COVID pandemic and in pursuance of Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training letter No. 1-1/2020-AS/FE&PT dated: 09-12.2020.”
“All private educational Institutions are switched to online learning/home based learning up to 24-12-2020. In case Private Educational Institutions (PEls) do not have the facility of alternate mode i.e. online/Home based learning,” it stated.
It was directed, “PEIs may call each class once a week to submit/collect homework. All PEls shall be required to prepare the schedule for classes with staggered attendance. AII PEIs shall be dosed during winter vacation from 25-12-2020 to 10-01-2021 for all activities.”
All Private Educational Institutions operating in the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) are strictly advised to ensure compliance in true letter and spirit.
