EducationBeaconhouse launches 14th School of Tomorrow Conferences

LAHORE, Pakistan: Beaconhouse, the Country’s largest network of private educational institutions, is set to launch the 14th edition of its flagship ‘School of Tomorrow’ (SOT) Conferences on November 6-7, 2021.

The two-day virtual event themed ‘Towards Happier Futures’ will host over 50 global and local thought leaders from various sectors including education, development, healthcare, and digital media, for insightful panel discussions on the prevailing education system in the country and varying factors impacting the general public.

The School of Tomorrow Conferences will be streamed live on the SOT website and social media profiles, and will consist of thirteen individual sessions ranging from discussions on the Single National Curriculum and its impact and restrictions, concerns around COVID-19, parenting and the intergenerational gap, the impact of digital media on young minds, child labour in Pakistan, and much more.

There will also be two virtual workshops for the audience – one titled ‘Designing your School of Tomorrow’, and the other on project-based learning for those affiliated with the education management sector.

Speaking about the upcoming event, Kasim Kasuri, the CEO Beaconhouse, stated, “School of Tomorrow Events aim to build our understanding of local and global perspectives on the intersection between education and multiple other domains. Education lies at the heart of everything we do, and as leaders and decision-makers in this sector, it is imperative that we engage, connect, brainstorm, and initiate thought-provoking discussions that advance the global agenda on reshaping our futures.”

Among the many thought leaders speaking at and attending the virtual Conference are Arshad Saeed Hussain, Managing Director at Oxford University Press; Dr. Mariam Chughtai, Project Director at the National Curriculum Council; Dr. Omar Chughtai, Director Operations at Chughtai Healthcare; Sabina Khatri, Founder and Chairperson of Kiran Foundation; actor and producer Adnan Malik; Mehnaz Rehman, Director at Aurat Foundation, and many others.

The School of Tomorrow was initiated by Beaconhouse as a series of events to support the institution’s quest to redefine education in Pakistan.

The Beaconhouse Group holds a legacy of 45 years of educational expertise and currently has over 315,000 students enrolled full-time across more than 190 private school branches in eight countries.
