LAHORE, Pakistan: The Punjab government has announced one-week holidays throughout the province from September 6 to 11, 2021 in the wake of rising Coronavirus Cases.

In a Twitter statement on Friday, the Provincial Education Minister Murad Raas announced that all Public and Private Schools of Punjab will remain closed from September 6 to 11, 2021 due to COVID-19 conditions.

Recently, the Coronavirus Casas have been on the rise in Punjab as the provincial COVID-19 positivity ratio has reached almost 7%.

In the last 24 hours, 1,368 new infections and 20 new deaths were reported across the province.

To date, Punjab has registered a total of 397,694 Coronavirus Cases – the highest after Sindh – and 11,979 deaths – the highest among all provinces in the Country.
